Course Overview
Advanced Skills & Interventions
Airway Management: Inserting supraglottic airways (SGA) and performing advanced suctioning techniques.
Respiratory Support: Setting up high-flow oxygen, using pulse oximetry, and assisting with nebulizers.
Trauma Care: Applying pelvic binders, chest seals, and commercial tourniquets for severe bleeding.
Cardiac Care: Performing enhanced resuscitation protocols and managing acute coronary syndromes. [1]
Medication Administration
Opioid Overdoses: Drawing and administering intramuscular Naloxone.
Cardiac Emergencies: Assessing indications for Acetylsalicylic Acid (ASA) and Nitroglycerin.
Severe Allergic Reactions: Administering Epinephrine via auto-injector or manual syringe.
Hypoglycemia: Measuring blood glucometry and administering oral glucose. [1, 2]
Clinical Decision-Making
Simulated Scenarios: Managing high-stress, mock emergency scenes from arrival to handoff.
Patient Assessment: Using updated triage frameworks to recognize rapid deterioration.
Documentation: Completing precise PCRs (Patient Care Reports) based on the new standards.
